1. International Skilled Worker Category

This category is for skilled workers who want to work and live in Saskatchewan. It is divided into three sub-categories:

Employment Offer: For skilled workers with a permanent job offer from a skilled Saskatchewan employer.
Occupation In-Demand: For highly skilled workers who do not have a job offer in Saskatchewan but have experience in an in-demand occupation.
Saskatchewan Express Entry: For skilled workers who are in the federal Express Entry pool and have experience in an in-demand occupation.

2. Saskatchewan Experience Category

This category is for foreign nationals who are already living and working in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit.

Skilled Worker with Existing Work Permit: For those who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months.
Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker: For those working in specific agricultural occupations.
Health Professionals: For physicians, nurses, and other health professionals working in the province.
Hospitality Sector Project: For food and beverage servers, food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, and housekeeping staff.
Students: For students who have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada and worked in Saskatchewan.

3. Entrepreneur and Farm Category

Entrepreneur Category: For individuals who wish to invest their management talent and capital in a business in Saskatchewan.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Category: For international students graduating from Saskatchewan institutions who want to start a business.
Farm Owner and Operator Category: For experienced farmers with significant capital who intend to purchase and operate a farm in the province.

General Eligibility Criteria

While specific requirements vary by category, most SINP pathways share common eligibility pillars.

Intent to Reside: You must demonstrate a clear and genuine intention to live and work in Saskatchewan.
Points Assessment Grid: For the International Skilled Worker categories (Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry), you must score at least 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid. Points are awarded for education, experience, language, age, and connection to the province.
Work Experience:

- In-Demand/Express Entry: You generally need at least one year of experience in the past 10 years in your field.
- Experience Category: Typically requires 6 months of work experience in Saskatchewan.

Language Proficiency:

- Express Entry: Must meet federal language requirements (CLB 7 for FSW).
- Occupation In-Demand: Minimum CLB 4.
- Employment Offer: Minimum CLB 4 for TEER 4 and 5 occupations; regulatory bodies may require higher scores for regulated professions.

Education: You must have completed post-secondary education or training that is comparable to the Canadian education system. An Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is often required.
Settlement Funds: Applicants without a job offer must demonstrate sufficient funds to support themselves and their families upon arrival.

The Application Process: EOI and Nomination

The SINP uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system for its Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories to manage application volume.

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)

Create a profile in the SINP OASIS online system. You will answer questions about your qualifications and receive a ranking score. This is not a formal application but a way to indicate your interest.

Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA)

Saskatchewan conducts regular EOI draws. Candidates with the highest scores—or those with specific connections to the province—are invited to submit a full application.

Submit Full Application

If you receive an ITA, you will have 60 days to submit a complete online application. You must upload all supporting documents, including proof of work experience, education, and settlement funds.

Note: Applicants in the Employment Offer or Saskatchewan Experience categories can typically apply directly without an EOI step, provided they meet eligibility.

Nomination and PR Application

SINP officers will assess your application. If approved, you receive a Nomination Certificate.

Express Entry candidates receive 600 additional CRS points and an ITA for permanent residence in the next federal draw.
Base stream candidates apply directly to IRCC for permanent residence.
