Canada Launches Immigration Pilots for Rural and Francophone Communities

On March 6, 2024, in Sudbury, Ontario, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, the Honorable Marc Miller, announced significant initiatives aimed at supporting rural and Francophone minority communities across Canada. Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP):

• Scheduled to commence in the fall of 2024.
• Designed to address labor shortages in rural areas and facilitate pathways to permanent residency for skilled newcomers.

Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP):
