International Skilled Worker Category
The International Skilled Worker Category is further divided into 3 pathways:
Employment Offer: Applicants who have obtained job offer from a Saskatchewan employer may apply under this pathway. The applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- Minimum language requirement CLB level 4
- Have a full time and permanent eligible job offer from an employer in Saskatchewan
- At least 1 year of paid work experience in past 10 years in the intended position
Occupations in Demand: Applicants who have certain work experience in an occupation which falls under the list of in-demand occupations in Saskatchewan. Applicants are not required to have a job offer. The applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- Minimum language requirement CLB level 4
- Minimum 1 year of post secondary education or training
- Minimum level of related work experience in occupation listed under in-demand occupations list
- Proof of Professional Status or Licensure, if required by Saskatchewan
- Proof of enough funds to settle or provide settlement plan to reside in Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan Express Entry: Applicants that have submitted their profile under Express Entry pool and have gained work experience in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan may be eligible to apply under this pathway. The applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- Active profile in Express Entry pool
- Meet minimum level of language requirement
- Minimum 1 year of post secondary education or training
- Minimum level of related work experience in occupation listed under in-demand occupations list
- Proof of Professional Status or Licensure, if required by Saskatchewan
- If Applicable, Certificate of Qualification if the applicants work experience falls under Skill Trade
- Proof of enough funds to settle or provide settlement plan to reside in Saskatchewan
NOTE: Applicants can use Expression of Interest System (EOI) to apply under Occupations in Demand and Saskatchewan Express Entry. Under Expression of Interest System (EOI), candidates are assessed for 5 factors: education and training, skilled work experience, language ability, age, and ties to the Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan Experience Category
The Saskatchewan Experience Category is further divided into 5 pathways:
Existing Work Permit: Applicants holding a valid work permit and gained 06 months of work experience in Saskatchewan are eligible to apply under this pathway. The applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- Hold a Valid work permit
- Minimum language requirement CLB level 4
- A full-time and permanent job offer
- Minimum 06 months of work experience working with the employer, who offered full-time and permanent job
- Obtain a Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program(SINP) Job Approval Letter
- Proof of Professional Status or Licensure, if required by Saskatchewan
Health Professionals: Applicants who have gained 06 months of work experience working as a physicians, nurses, or other health care workers in Saskatchewan. There are few additional requirements which differ, depending on the occupation the applicant is gaining work experience. However, the applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- Hold a Valid work permit
- A full-time and permanent job offer
- Obtain a Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program Job Approval Letter
Hospitality Sector Project: Applicants who have gained 06 months of work experience working in the hospitality sector in the economy such as a server in food & beverage restaurant, food counter attendant, kitchen helpers or working as a housekeeper or janitor. The applicant should comply with the following requirements: –
- Hold a Valid work permit under the NOC 6453, 6641 or 6661
- Should have minimum high school education
- Minimum language requirement of CLB 4
- A full-time and permanent job offer
- Minimum 06 months of work experience and should be currently working with the approved employer in Saskatchewan
- Obtain a Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program Job Approval Letter
Long Haul Truck Driver Project: Applicants who have gained 06 months of work experience as a Truck Driver, employed in an approved trucking company in Saskatchewan. The applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- Hold a Valid work permit
- Hold Saskatchewan Class 1A driver’s license
- Minimum language requirement of CLB 4
- A full-time and permanent job offer
- Obtain a Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program(SINP) Job Approval Letter
Students: Applicants who have graduated from a post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan with 06 months of work experience or applicants who have graduated from a post-secondary institution from any province in Canada and have been employed for 24 months i.e., 2 years in Saskatchewan may apply under this pathway.
- Hold a Valid Post Grad Work permit
- Minimum language requirement of CLB 4
- Completed certificate, diploma, or degree from inside or outside Saskatchewan
- A full-time and permanent job offer for an occupation related to field of study
- Obtain a Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program(SINP) Job Approval Letter

Entrepreneur and Farm Category
The Entrepreneur and Farm Category is further divided into 2 pathways:
Entrepreneur Sub-Category: Applicants that are interested in establishing, acquiring, or partnering in an existing or new business in Saskatchewan may apply under this pathway. Applicant is required to participate in the active management role. The applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of entrepreneurial experience within past 10 years
- Must reside in Saskatchewan
- Minimum investment of CAD $300,000 in the region of Regina or Saskatoon, or of CAD $200,000 in another Saskatchewan community
- Provide a Business Establishment Plan (BEP)
- Own at least one-third of the equity of a business in Saskatchewan (unless their total investment is $1,000,000 CAD or higher)
- Create or maintain at least two jobs for Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents in Saskatchewan (if business is in Regina or Saskatoon)
- Maintain the number of Canadian or permanent resident workers, if purchasing a business in Saskatoon or Regina
- You must sign a business performance agreement with the Government of Saskatchewan, which will be provided by the SINP after the application is approved
- The business must meet additional requirements
Farm Owners and Operators Sub-Category: Applicants who have experience in farming and intend to invest in farming operations and settle in Saskatchewan may apply under this pathway. The applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- Relevant farming experience and knowledge
- Genuine and Viable Proposal for commercial farming opportunities in Saskatchewan
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in farm ownership, farm management or practical farming experience
- Must have the potential to supplement your farming income with your spouse/common-law partner’s marketable employment skills, based on education and experience.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
Applicants who have graduated from a post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan and intend to start up or invest in a business. Applicants should have experience of managing or operating a business in Saskatchewan for at least 1 year to be eligible to apply SINP under this category. The applicant should comply with the following requirements:
- At least 21 years old
- Hold Post Graduation Work Permit, valid for minimum 2 years
- Successfully completed post secondary diploma or degree, minimum 2 years in duration from Designated Learning Institution of Saskatchewan
- Minimum language requirement of CLB 7
- Reside in Saskatchewan for the duration of their academic program
